Replica Knockoff Bottega Veneta Padded Cassette Bag Review

Are you looking to snag a luxurious bag without going all-in on flashy logos?

Well, you can’t go wrong with Bottega Veneta. It’s all about that understated, yet oh-so-luxurious vibe. Even the celebrities can’t get enough, and I’m right there with them!

Today, let’s dive into a review of my BV darling the Bottega Veneta Padded Cassette Bag.

About The Bottega Veneta Cassette Bag

What is a Bottega Veneta cassette bag?

The Cassette Bag made its debut in Bottega Veneta’s 2019 Fall/Winter collection. Perhaps it’s because of its unique yet stylish design that can effortlessly enhance and add flair to any outfit, it quickly won the hearts of fashion enthusiasts.

The style of the BV Cassette Bag is designed based on the famous Intrecciato weave style from the Italian fashion house. It’s made using top-quality Nappa leather, which can be either lambskin or calfskin. Just so you know, the Intrecciato is a weaving technique that’s closely associated with the Italian fashion house. It’s kind of like the “logo” on these Cassette pieces.

The Bottega Cassette Bag comes in different varieties and adorable colors and is on its way to becoming a classic that everyone wants in their collection!

Who designed the Bottega Veneta Cassette Bag?

The Bottega Veneta Bag Cassette was designed by Daniel Lee, who became the creative director of Bottega Veneta. It was one of his creations after taking over the fashion house.

His style is all about making classic and iconic designs that stand out without being covered in logos. It’s a unique approach to fashion.

Review of my Bottega Veneta padded cassette bag

I chose the classic black color for my bag. I felt that it would be a perfect addition because it’s very understated, and that’s what I love about this Bottega Padded Cassette Bag.

You can find the same bag without the padding, and it will be flatter and more squared, whereas this one is like a plush pillow. This unique and cool look really caught my eye.

This handbag is made of 100% lambskin, just like the Chanel classic flap in lambskin, which means it’s incredibly soft. It has a buttery soft texture, and it’s super shiny.

I absolutely love the luxurious look of it, and I enjoy holding and touching this bag because it’s so squishy. The interior of the bag is exactly the same. The shoulder strap is non-removable but adjustable.

what fits inside

The dimension of this Bottega Veneta Padded Cassette Bag is:

  • Height: 18 cm | 7.1″
  • Width: 26 cm | 10.2″
  • Depth: 8 cm | 3.15″

Frankly speaking, this bag may look spacious, but it’s quite small on the inside. It’s similar in size to the 30 Montaigne bag.

There’s a zip pocket inside, but it’s pretty flat, so you won’t be able to fit much inside, maybe just some receipts.

It doesn’t hold a lot, but it’s enough for my daily essentials:

  • My phone
  • My cardholder
  • My AirPods
  • My keys
  • A lipstick
  • A small hand sanitizer

So, when it’s filled with just a few items, it’s pretty much full. But I’m not complaining. Like I said, it’s enough for my essentials.

You can certainly stuff this bag to the max, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

The lining is all lambskin and it’s puffy, so it can scratch easily. Your stuff can actually damage the bag, leaving creases, marks, and dents inside.

So, if you want to keep your Bottega Padded Cassette Bag in the most pristine condition possible, then I wouldn’t recommend trying to stuff it to the max.

Wear Tear

I’ve had this Bottega Veneta Padded Cassette Bag for about seven months now, and I use it quite a bit.

When it comes to wear and tear, I have to say it’s holding up pretty well. I haven’t noticed any scratches except for one inside near the stamping. Overall, the bag’s in great condition.

The corners look as good as new, and there aren’t any obvious signs of wear, even though I wasn’t babying it. I mean, it’s made of delicate lambskin, but it’s proven to be quite sturdy.

Choosing the Right Bottega Veneta Cassette Bag

Remember when I introduced the Bottega Cassette Bag at the beginning saying there are various types? So, let’s take a look at what they are beside the Padded Cassette.

Cassette Bag Types

Bottega Veneta Chain Cassette Bag

The Chain Cassette Bag is quite similar to the Padded Cassette Bag, with one noticeable difference: it has a chain strap instead of a leather one.

Bottega Veneta Cassette Bag

This Cassette Bag, as the name suggests, is the version without the padding, and it’s perfect for casual, everyday use. It has a more relaxed and laid-back vibe compared to the Chain and Padded Cassette bags.

Bottega Veneta Cassette Belt Bag

The Belt Cassette is essentially the fanny pack version of the Cassette bag. It rocks the same stylish Intreccio leather and comes in a bunch of vibrant colors that are perfect for Instagram pics!

Bottega Veneta Cassette Messenger Bag

This is the most uncommon version of the Cassette Bag, but it’s just as stylish and charming as the others. It’s basically a vertical version of the Cassette Bag with an open main pocket. You can wear it across your body or on your shoulder.

Apart from these ones, there are even more options like the Brick Cassette, Cassette Bucket, Cassette Camera, Cassette Pouch, Cassette Tote, and many more. There’s an abundance of choices to explore!

Padded vs. Non-Padded Cassette Bags

Here are the key differences to consider between Padded and Non-Padded Cassette Bags before making a purchase.

Padded Cassette Cassette
Current Price

(Classic Size in the US)

$4,500 $2,900
Size (Classic) Height: 18 cm | 7.1″
Width: 26 cm | 10.2″
Depth: 8 cm | 3.15″
Height: 15 cm | 5.9″
Width: 23 cm | 9″
Depth: 5.5 cm | 2.1″
Strap Drop 50 cm | 20″ 55 cm | 21.7″
Closure Metal closure Magnetic closure

Even though they’re both in classic size, the Padded Cassette is noticeably bigger than the non-padded one. But I really think the interior space will be the same.

The price difference is $1,600, which is a lot in my opinion, especially when you are basically getting the same size.

Both bags have their merits. The regular Bottega Cassette bag is smaller and slimmer, making it look better when worn crossbody. The padded Cassette bag has a more luxurious vibe, while the non-padded version is ideal for everyday use.

If you ask me now, I’d say the regular Cassette bag is a better value considering the price difference. But If you’re thinking about going for replica bags, then the price difference becomes less important, so just pick whichever you want or maybe even both. LOL

I have a Bottega Veneta Chain Cassette Bag, but I seriously regret it. The chain is too heavy, and wearing it on the shoulder is uncomfortable.

I really love bags without big logos, but unfortunately, this one is too small.

I had a baby this year and boy it is harder than I could’ve imagined but I love my child more than I thought I could love. So I bought myself a BV Cassette Bag to remember this period of my life 😂😂
