Louis Vuitton Coussin PM Review: 2 Years Later, Is It Worth the Investment?

Hey there, gorgeous ladies! LV Queen is back with another LV bag review.

I’ve had my Louis Vuitton Coussin for about 2 years now, so I’m all set to chat about what’s great, what’s not, and if it’s really worth it.

Design and Features of Louis Vuitton Coussin

It’s absolutely stunning!

For any of you who aren’t familiar with this bag, I’m going to go over it real quick.

• It’s made of lambskin leather, which is like, super soft—kind of like touching a comfy pillow.
• And it’s got the logos embossed all over it.

The name ‘Coussin’ is French for ‘cushion,’ and it’s a perfect fit for this bag because of its soft, pillowy shape.

• The strap is adjustable and can even be removed.
• It also comes with a chain, so you can wear it in lots of different ways.
• Inside, there are three separate compartments.

And at the bottom of the bag, there aren’t any little feet or anything like that.

LV Coussin Sizes Styles

So, the Coussin comes in quite a few sizes. Mine is the PM, but there’s a bigger one, the MM, and there’s also a smaller one, the BB.

It also comes in Beltbag and Pochette styles, so you can choose from five different sizes. The Pochette Coussin is sort of like a wallet on a chain, which is pretty cute.

And now they’ve got a lot more colors than when I first bought mine.

🔶Compared to other more common LV bags like the Pochette Metis, its size falls somewhere between the Louis Vuitton Coussin PM and BB.

Louis Vuitton Coussin PM vs MM

A lot of people think the LV Coussin MM is huge, but it actually looks okay when you wear it. It’s about the same size as the Neverfull in the MM size, so it’s definitely not a HUGH bag.

• The PM size is super practical for everyday use. It’s got enough space to fit a tablet or a small notebook, along with all your daily essentials.
• The larger MM is perfect if you need to carry more than just the essentials.

Besides their sizes, the bags are identical.

This is my Replica Knockoff Coussin in small size. Since this bag isn’t cheap, it’s actually pretty pricey, I really thought hard about the color choice, and I was very, very drawn to the cream.

I tried on both the cream and the black versions, but I was convinced I’d go for black if I was going to invest in this bag.

I’m very glad I got it when the price was still decent because now it’s up to $4,700, which is just crazy!

LV Coussin PM: WHAT FITS

When you see this bag in the store, it’s kinda deceiving because you just can’t tell. But I’m really happy to say, it can fit in quite a bit.

I know many of these “puffy” bags seem like they’d hold a lot but often don’t. I think the Coussin PM does a pretty good job.

Also, because of its “puffy” design, even when there’s nothing inside, it doesn’t look flat and shapeless.

For my everyday essentials, here’s what I like to carry:

• A wallet
• A few makeup necessities
• A coin purse
• My sunglasses case
• My keys
• My phone
• My AirPods

I like how it can fit in small electronics like a mini-tablet or Reader.

Louis Vuitton Coussin: Wear Tear and care

I’ve had my Coussin Bag for like 2 years now, and I’ve used it a bunch. It’s holding up VERY well. (Though I gotta say, I feel like it’s more of a fall/winter bag so I usually pick other bags during spring/summer.)

I originally thought it would be delicate because of its pillow-like texture and the fact that it’s made from lambskin leather.

• But it’s turned out to be pretty durable and shows way less wear and tear than I thought it would. I guess it is another perk of the black bags.
• The leather is smooth but scratch resistant.

About the creasing, if you look closely, it’s pretty much all over the bag, but most of it is very tiny.

• The creasing looks natural and pretty. I don’t think it’s that bad or that it takes away from the look of the bag at all.
• The only issue I’ve had is with the hardware, it’s gotten a few scratches. But they are pretty minor and expected.

Again, I don’t like to baby my bags, but I definitely keep an eye on them, especially the Replica Knockoff ones. I try to keep them in pristine condition.

So, I’m not going to be throwing it around. I haven’t and won’t be taking it out in the rain either.

If you’re going for a cream-colored or white bag, there’s obviously a bigger risk of it showing wear and picking up stains or color transfer.

But, you know, as long as you take good care of it, it should be okay.

Louis Vuitton Coussin Bag: PROS CONS

Pros

• The overall look and aesthetics are stunning.
• It can go from a day bag to an evening bag so easily.
• It fits so much inside and easy to keep things organized.
• The versatility of how it can be worn in so many different ways.
• Many colors and sizes to choose from.
• The strap is comfortable to wear.

Cons

• It can be a bit bulky when you put things in.
• The price is on the steep side.
• The chain is not comfortable to wear.

Overall, besides being expensive, the LV Coussin Bag is pretty much perfect. The cons hardly matter with this one.

I remember buying mine for around $3,500, and it wasn’t easy to get. The resale prices were even higher than the original.

Now, the retail price has gone up to $4,700, (which seems good news for me, ) but I wouldn’t recommend buying it at full price now. Because I just checked, you can find preloved ones in excellent condition for around $4,000, saving you over $700.
