The Chloé Faye was one of those rare bags that I fell in love with upon first sight.

I think the bag fits in both the “cool” and “chic” categories and can complete any outfit with an effortless vibe.

The bag has multiple versions including a backpack (which I also bought and will be also reviewing), a medium-day bag, and a mini version.

Basically, I don’t have any qualms with the bag except for its functionality it is a little tight inside so you need to really pare down what you carry in your bag to make sure it fits and looks good at the same time.

What Fits in the Faye Bag?

I personally find that an iPad, wallet, and phone can perfectly fit into the bag.

A mid-sized book can also comfortably fit in the bag as displayed by the Vitamix recipe book I stuffed into the bag in the photos above.

I think that the bag would compliment a professional look, and also a laid-back weekend look when you’re rocking jeans. 

 

Leather Quality

I love the calfskin/suede leather combo and believe that the contrast between the two really helps make the look of the bag as chic as it is. 

The texture of the flap is that of a velvety feel, while the rest of the bag is smooth to the touch calfskin. 

The hallmark of a good replica bag is that the leather is on par with the original bag’s, and this fake Chloe bag gets a checkmark when it comes to meeting that criteria. 

The interior of the bag is suede as well however it is a lighter suede (almost beige-ish), and is genuine suede leather like the original.

I love Chloé as a brand generally, and the Faye backpack is no exception in regard to my admiration for Chloé’s lovely designs.

The bag can be worn either on your shoulder using the removable strap attached to the sides of the bag, or it can be worn as a backpack with the removable shoulder straps on the back of the bag.

In addition to the lovely mix of velvety suede and supple leather, the bag features hand-painted raw edges along the flap, and side zippers.

This replica Chloé Faye Backpack is well constructed, pinning down even the smallest details of its Replica Knockoff counterpart. 

I can continue to yap about the bag, but I think it’s better to get straight to showing you pictures since as well all know pictures are worth a thousand words!

I’m not sure if I was able to capture the suppleness of the leather via the camera but the bag’s leather is really really smooth!

I got the Chloe Tess Day bag in mini size. When I opened the package, there was no weird smell at all. Actually, the leather smells just like my Polene bags. The leather’s really soft, but a bit dry.

The hardware of this fake Chloe bag feels nice and heavy. And there’s no loose stitching anywhere.

The suede leather on the inside flap is as soft as the original. And the magnetic hook clasps feel as strong as on the original bag.

I’ve checked out the bag in stores a bunch of times, felt it, and looked it over, but I hadn’t seen the beige color in person. From what I can tell, the size and shape are accurate. I’m not totally sure about the color, though. 

I’ve seen the motty gray a lot, and I’d say this color leans more towards that than their beige. But in the end, it’s actually the color I was hoping for. Plus, Chloe always rolls out limited edition colors, so it’s believable. 

I’m happy I went with the mini size instead of the small. The bag feels pretty heavy for its size because of the hardware. And even though it’s mini, it can actually fit an iPad mini!

Most of the bag is made of linen canvas, even the handles. The long strap and the trim near the Chloe brand name are all calfskin leather, and it’s really nice.

Inside, it’s just one big compartment with a flat pocket, no dividers or anything. 

This Chloé replica tote looks perfect to me. The canvas is really solid and has a nice texture to it, no loose threads or missed stitches at all.

The leather is of good quality, the hardware looks nice, and the straps are pretty sturdy.

The leather strap was a bit stiff, just like the Replica Knockoff one, but I feel like the more I’ve used it the softer it has gotten.

Storage:  The pouch is pretty roomy. You can easily stuff in your phone, wallet, sunglasses, and probably three other accessories or more to fit in here. It’s a nice size for a small purse.

Top:  One cool thing they did was adding a way to secure the top, which is a pretty neat touch.

Bottom: At the bottom, there is the round leather piece with the Chole logo, adding a distinct visual element to the basket’s design.

Strap:  Lastly, there’s the leather strap. It’s fixed and can’t be adjusted or taken off.

Wearing Options: You’ve got three options for wearing it holding it in your hand, slinging it over your shoulder, or wearing it cross-body.

 

Ever since I snagged this amazing Chloé replica woody basket bag last summer, it’s been my absolute favorite. Seriously, I’ve been carrying it everywhere it’s been my go-to bag all summer long.

I really had my eyes on this Woody Basket Bag, and I was totally cool with paying the full price for it because it’s not crazy expensive.

But then it hit me that the bag is more of a summer thing. Also, it’s mostly made out of raffia. So in the end I decided to reach out to one of my usual sellers to see whether they had this Chloe bag and fortunately, they did!

 

Quality 9.5/10

This Chloé replica basket bag is seriously gorgeous. Since the bag is made of natural fiber, it doesn’t have any smell. The whole basket body is also quite firm and structured.

And get this, even after I put it through a crazy amount of use for like 3 months straight, those leather straps still look flawless. Not a single scratch on them.

The handle (the part with the Chloe stamp) is top-notch too. Despite going through a lot of action, the lettering hasn’t lost its color one bit. This Chloe bag knockoff is still in mint condition, just like it was when I first got it.

I docked half a point because the raffia did stretch a bit, but I’m pretty sure that’s on me. I did load it up with a bunch of stuff more than once.

I also spot a few discrepancies on the weave, but as far as I know, it also happens a lot on the genuine basket bag. So, I’m not knocking off any points for it. Plus, considering it’s a hand-woven item, I think a bit of variation is totally fine and acceptable.

The dimensions of my fake Chloe basket bag are pretty accurate.

I get it might sound wild, but I can’t spot a single thing that’s off about this fake Chloe compared to the real deal. 

Honestly, I didn’t really dive into any extensive research either, because the moment it showed up, it was a dead ringer for the original bag I saw at the store.

• The raffia material of the basket bag feels just like the real thing and isn’t prickly to the touch.
• The wide handle is quite sturdy, and the black Chloe logo on it looks very accurate.
• The pouch inside the basket sticks out a bit, just like the original design.
• The stamping on the bottom is spot-on.
• The leather strap is attached in the right place, and the white stitching on it is perfect.

All the details are done nicely.

I’ve been getting a ton of compliments whenever I’ve had this bag on.

That time I hung out with my friends outdoors, I took my Chloe and it was amazing! It was both light and stylish and could fit all my essentials like my phone, wallet, sunglasses, and even a few snacks and makeup items. Everyone was saying how cool it looked, and I was totally thrilled!

Then there was this time I took it to the beach to catch a sunset. I needed to pack sunscreen and some snacks, and this bag was just perfect for that. It’s tough and practical, so I wasn’t worried about sand messing it up. It was super handy and really added to my style.

So, to wrap it up, I’m totally happy with this Chloe Basket Bag. I’m actually relieved I didn’t go for the genuine one because this fake Chloe bag is spot on. I’m already pumped for the summer to roll around so I can rock this baby again!

Personally, spending $400-500 on a bag that is in “good” condition (and then having to pay more for cleaning and repairs), compared to getting a brand new high-tier replica for the same price, I lean more towards buying replicas. 

I’d only consider spending over a thousand on a preloved one in excellent condition if there’s no replica of the model I want.
