DD’s price was $323 for each blanket. PH was more expensive at $500.

For the sake of a little experiment, I bought another H blanket from PH. So, in total, I ordered three fake Hermes blankets.

Just like when I bought the Miu Miu Wander bag last time, Lily gave me a heads-up that this batch of Hermes blankets might have some color differences.

They offer a bunch of colors: black, beige, orange, gray, brown, blue, and red. She suggested I go for black, but I picked beige to better compare it with the real one.

Quality 9/10

The quality of this Hermes blanket throw is decent for a replica.

It’s got a good thickness, feels nice and heavy, and the stitching is clean.

Accuracy 8/10

Since I got to compare the Replica Knockoff and the replica right next to each other, this part is easy to see.

Color Difference

The most noticeable difference is the color, though the blanket does match the photos that Lily sent me. From the photos, you can tell the colors just aren’t the same. (-1.5pt)

Pattern Size

The ‘H’ patterns on the replica are a bit smaller than on the authentic. (-0.5pt)

Material and Feel

Both Hermes blankets feel equally soft. The seller said they’re made of 90% wool and 10% cashmere.

Size Comparison

Both blankets are the same size. I went with the Large (135 x 170 cm) and the Baby size (100 x 140 cm). The Large is more practical, while the Baby size is great if you’re putting it in a kid’s room.

If I didn’t have a real Hermes throw blanket right next to it to compare the colors, this Hermes blanket dupe would actually be okay if you want the “flex” of having a Hermes Avalon blanket but don’t want to spend around $2000 for a blanket (and as long as you don’t have friends who have an Replica Knockoff to call out the differences :D).

I placed the blanket on the sofa in my living room and it still adds a nice feel to the living room.

I usually don’t buy the same item from different sellers unless it’s something I or my family really love. For example, last time I bought the replica LV Alma BB from both Louis and DD and compared them.

Feel

The feel of the two knock off Hermes blankets have a difference in the texture of the cashmere/wool blend.

• The PH version feels more luxurious and has softer wool strands, but both are equally dense and heavy.
• The DD version uses a coarser wool thread, which makes sense given the price difference.

If you’re not too picky about how the blanket feels, then the DD version is totally fine and feels close enough to the authentic. Honestly, for this particular quality, I don’t think the extra price is worth it.

Stitching

The stitching on the PH version is more refined, which you can see in the pictures. The stitching of the tags, the whipstitch on the edges, and even the corners, look more even and tighter.

Weight

Weight-wise, both blankets feel heavy and high-quality when spread over me. I wouldn’t say there’s a big difference between them. They’re both very warm.

Appearance

I really like the sharper details on the PH version, even though some parts of the horse aren’t perfect—I’ve noticed some areas where the shading or shadows are less detailed or not quite the same shape.

The Replica Knockoff blankets have very sharp and precise lines for the details of the plaid, the background of the horse, etc.

The PH replica captures these details much better, so if you’re particular about the details and often have guests over, the PH version is a safer choice for your peace of mind about being called out.

Coloring/Pattern

The colors of the two blankets are pretty consistent; the red shades look almost the same, and the reverse image also looks good on both.

However, there are some differences in the pattern. The PH replica has slanted lines like the Replica Knockoff version, but the DD version looks a bit blurry, so the colors and patterns don’t stand out as much.

5. How to wash a Hermes blanket?

As for cleaning, I’d take it to dry cleaners (the safest and most recommended method), and only if it were actually dirty. The dry cleaning chemicals tend to dry out the wool.

If you have a washing machine that does have a wool function, still use a giant laundry bag and wool soap.

If you don’t and want to clean it by hand, I use my bathtub. Don’t fret if it smells like a sheep!

• Just don’t wring it out because it can felt.
• Wrap it in big towels and swap the towels out until the water is mostly out.
• Lay flat to dry over a rack ideally.

I’ll usually gently roll it, press on it to try to get water out, then use the towels.

To soften, you can use a cashmere brush.

My one tip- don’t use the laundress soap. Huge recall- as someone with sensitive allergies I’m furious by the recall. Also, avoid bleach because it can ruin the color and material.

Conclusion: Are fake h blankets worth it?

Considering what I would have paid for the Replica Knockoff versions, I’m totally happy with all three Hermes blankets replica.

DD is cheaper and good enough for everyday use, while PH has better quality. If you’re not comparing them side by side, DD does the job just fine.

Going forward, I think I’ll decide which one to buy from based on the situation and how I plan to use it.

For me, the DD version is great if I’m only going to use the blanket temporarily, like during the winter. For those who are more particular, PH is the way to go.

Although this shopping experience wasn’t a huge success or particularly surprising, it hasn’t stopped me from liking DD.
