Hermes Evelyne TPM Review: Real vs Fake, Size, Pros & Cons, Colors

What bags have you been hoping to see under your Christmas tree?

With the holiday season around the corner, I’ve been getting a little carried away with my Christmas shopping (again). In fact, I’ve picked up a few other goodies along the way.

But things have been super busy, so I haven’t had the chance to share them with you yet. Once things calm down a bit, I’ll give you all the details!

About the Hermes Evelyne Real vs Fake

The Replica Knockoff one is blue, and I got it 2 years ago (still looks brand new). The replica is taupe, which I just picked up from PH.

If you’re not familiar with the Hermès Evelyne bag, it’s a very, very functional bag.

The design is pretty simple. 

• You’ve got the perforated H right here, and this is the back of the bag, but most people actually wear it as the front. 
• Inside is just one compartment.

I just can’t stop touching this bag because the leather is incredibly soft and flexible. It just feels amazing.

It’s definitely not the most structured handbag, which makes sense because this is meant to be a crossbody or shoulder bag. You want it to sit close and snug against your skin or hip.

If you like a bit more structure, you can always get an insert. But it’ll take up some space inside, and you’re already working with limited space in there. So yeah, it comes down to what you prefer.

• The Mini Evelyne comes with a non-adjustable but fully detachable shoulder strap, so you can switch it out for different straps if you want.

Honestly, the two are identical in my eyes.

The only major difference I noticed is the length of the strap because the Replica Knockoff is longer compared to the replica.

The rest differences are minor and unnoticeable. Therefore, I am happy and confident with my replica.

Sorry, the photos didn’t come out great; it could be the angle of the photos or the leather not lying flat. In the picture, the taupe looks bigger and the circle around the H shape looks a bit different, but in real life, they’re actually the same.

Hermes Evelyne Size Chart

The Hermès Evelyne bag comes in four sizes.

From the smallest to the largest, they are TPM, PM, GM, and TGM.
(These stand for Très Petit Modèle, Petit Modèle, Grand Modèle, and Très Grand Modèle.)

You’ll also hear them called Evelyne 16, Evelyne 29, Evelyne 33, and Evelyne 40—the numbers show the width of the bag in centimeters.

Many people also refer to the Hermes Evelyne 16 as the Hermes Evelyne Mini.

Currently, Evelyne 16 and 29 are more popular than the 33 and 40, with the 16 being the most popular.

The TPM was just so cute, and it’s one of those bags that you just can’t deny the cuteness.

Besides the difference in size, TPM Evelyne doesn’t have a back pocket, they don’t slouch as much, and the straps are thinner.

what fits inside the Mini Evelyne Hermes

It actually fits a good amount and everything you’d need on a daily basis, I’d say.

You can fit:

• a small wallet
• a phone
• a coin holder
• a key pouch
• lipstick
• AirPods

It’s amazing what this bag will hold, and it’s very deceiving because it looks so tiny.

I really like taking this Mini Evelyne along when I walk my dog (of course, the replica one, I don’t want to mess up the real one), it’s super handy.

Now I can switch it up with my LV Multi Pochette Accessoires when I’m out for walks.

Evelyne bags usually use Clémence leather, which is really soft. So you might notice things inside the bag pushing against the leather and showing through a bit.

If you want to avoid any bulging or indentations from stuff inside the bag, an insert could be a great option.

Pros Cons of Evelyne Hermes Bag

Pros

• The bag fits a lot more than it looks like it could.
• Comfortable to wear, it sits nicely against the body without digging into your skin.
• Comes in several sizes.
• If you’re into the style, there are a ton of colors to choose from.
• Holds good resale value. (authentic)

Cons

• The strap of Evelyne TPM cannot be adjusted.
• Lack of internal organization.
• It has an open top with just a simple snap closure, which might not be secure enough for everyone.
• Getting your hands on a specific model or color directly from Hermès can be tough.

Conclusion Is the Hermes Evelyne Worth It?

I don’t really remember how much I paid for my Replica Knockoff one.

From what I know, now, a new Hermes Evelyne TPM costs just over $2,000—though I’m not completely sure. A preloved one usually goes for between $3,000 and $4,000.

If you’re considering buying an Replica Knockoff one, this bag is a great entry-level option for someone who wants to get into Hermès without breaking the bank.

If you find the preloved ones are too expensive, or if there’s no Hermès store nearby, or maybe the color you want is hard to get, etc., you could also consider buying a Hermes Evelyne dupe.

I love this bag so much, both my Replica Knockoff and replica. I love the crossbody aspect, the cute little perforated H, the gorgeous color options.

Depends on your country/local store, lots of ‘non quota’ bags now require pre spend if you live in a competitive country it’s just how it is. Especially for good colors or preferred sizes.

But compared to the Birkin or Kelly, the Evelyne is still considered easy to get.
