Just type in the brand name with “dupe” after it, like “Gucci dupes”, and bam you’d get a bunch of hits. But those days are gone. Now, if you try that, you’ll probably end up with nothing.
Those platforms have cracked down on all those searches like “replicas”, “knockoffs”, or “lookalikes”. And sometimes, they even hide these listings. It’s pretty hit or miss, especially if you’re looking for something that’s not super popular.
But don’t worry, I’ve still got a couple of tricks to find them, even with all these new rules.
1. Search for the product itself, leaving out the brand name:

If you can’t find what you need, try messaging sellers who sell similar products. They will probably have it in their “backstock” or “hidden inventory”.
5. Look for hidden links on social media:
Search for hidden links on social media like Facebook for direct access to stores or knock-off products. You’ll find them in reviews about the fake branded goods, but they’re often with vague descriptions to stay off the platform’s radar.

What’s the concept of a hidden link album? Essentially, they’re hidden products you can buy from AE sellers. The photos in the album might show fully branded products (i.e. LV, Dior, etc) and the AE listings would be taken down if they used those photos and advertised them as branded replicas. Instead, you look at the pics in the album and decide “Hey, I want these shoes in this color” and all the colors are labeled with a number or letter. If you click the AE link in the photo album for that item, it will take you to an AE page for a product that is nothing related to the item you’re purchasing but allows you to select the number or letter option for the item you want, any sizing, etc. So it’ll look like you’re buying a computer cable in length 40cm but in reality, you’re ordering a pair of Prada slides, size 40. Sellers generally require a PM or message once you’ve purchased with a code word to verify you did, in fact, come there from the hidden links album and aren’t actually trying to buy a computer cable! |
Even though these hidden links might sound like an exciting “treasure hunt”, sadly, my own experiences with them haven’t been great. I remember I ordered a few items from this “shop” but none of the items have ever arrived. When I opened a dispute the shop replied that the item was still in transit (no, it wasn’t. It’s been MANY months, and the tracking said it was allegedly delivered.)

We’ve already covered how to find these fake Gucci items on various e-commerce platforms. But finding them is just the first step. Before placing your order, let’s get down to some basic stuff and real talk about shopping on these e-commerce sites.
- Every seller you’re gonna find is basically a reseller or a middleman. Don’t fall for it if they say they’re a “factory” or something.
- Don’t get too excited about discounted or sale items in these listings. They’re not really on sale.
- Buying from a top-rated seller doesn’t always mean you’ll be happy with your purchase.
- Fake reviews are all over the place, even in listings from those top sellers. They’re pretty common these days.
