After my experiment with the fake Gucci Marmont bag, I found out that (as someone who dislikes babying their bags when going out,) I’m actually a champ at looking after light-colored bags. So I decided to expand my designer bag collection and treated myself to another white stunner.

For Mini Lou, currently, you have a total of 4 colors: Black, Blanc Vintage, Dark Beige, and Dark Natural.

Each of the four colors comes with gold-toned metal hardware, a classic choice. However, if you opt for black, you also get the added flexibility of silver-toned and matte black hardware.

The leather of the YSL Mini Camera Bag is Calfskin leather, remember that the Mini Lou Bag in shiny leather doesn’t come with a tassel charm like others.

Review of My Saint Laurent Lou Camera Bag

As I mentioned above the YSL Mini Camera Bag is crafted from pebbled calfskin leather so it does give it a little more durability.

At the front of the bag, there’s this super cute YSL logo in gold which I believe is eye-catching. And then there’s the iconic Y-quilting.

Look at the side, there’s this tassel hanging off it. And the tassel is attached to the zipper by this little gold chain, so you just open or close the bag by pulling the tassel. It opens up very easily and smoothly.

Then there’s the matching gold chain. The length is perfect for cross-body. They’ve also added a leather piece at the top of the shoulder strap, so the chain won’t hurt your shoulder when you need to carry it for a long time. The bag itself is also not too heavy. 

What Fits Inside My YSL Mini Lou Camera Bag

Don’t let the size fool you. Because the leather is soft and it’s got a certain depth and thickness, this bag can hold a lot.

When I use my YSL Camera Bag, I usually like to organize my stuff like this:

• An LV Pochette (For cosmetics other small things)
• An LV Coin Purse/Key Pouch
• A YSL Cardholder
• My Phone (I grabbed a phone case from an old phone as a reference)
• My Car Key

The interior of the bag is leather lined. In the back, there are some card slots so you can lose the cardholder to have a little more space in there. I personally like to use my cardholder, it’s more convenient if I need to change a bag.

It also has a back pocket but it’s very small and doesn’t go in very deep. I wouldn’t suggest you put anything in there, because they could just fall out easily.

Wear Tear of My YSL Lou Camera Bag

You’d think a white bag would be the most delicate thing, but not this one. YSL’s white has a creamy, slightly gray tone and with its pebbled leather finish, it’s really good at resisting dirt.

Plus, because the bag is all rounded, even the edges are durable. Unlike envelope bags where the seams are easier to crack. The Mini Lou doesn’t have a sealed edge. It’s all stitched in pebbled leather, so cracking is out of the question.

I’ve been using it for a while now, and there’s not a single trace of dirt or wear.

Pros Cons of My YSL Mini Camera Bag

Pros

• It goes with everything, from casual to formal. Since it’s in an off-white shade, it can pair with any color. 
• As a mini bag, it can hold my daily essentials pretty well.
• It’s lightweight and comfortable to carry.
• There are some card slots inside the bag.
• For a white bag, it doesn’t easily get dirty.
• It’s a durable bag in terms of wear tear.

Cons

• The strap is not detachable or adjustable, so the bag is not very versatile.
• Since the stuff could easily fall out, the back pocket is more like a decorative item.

All in all, despite the cons, I really love this Saint Laurent Lou Camera Bag. It’s practical and incredibly resistant to wear and dirt for a white bag. And a high-quality bag that’s worth its price, easy to carry, and great for everyday use.
